Why does the rx_ready port assert or toggle unexpectedly on the GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY FPGA IP variant when the RX Adaptation mode is set to “manual”?
Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 24.3.1, you may see the rx_ready port of the GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY FPGA IP variant could assert or toggle unexpectedly under the following conditions when the RX Adaptation mode is set to “manual”.
- Invalid data on the RX Pins from the link partner
- Unconnected RX pins
- During Link Bringup
Resolution
Currently, there is no workaround for this problem.
Signals need to be debounced by user logic.
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software.
