Why does the Questa* FPGA Edition go to “Not responding” when executing commands from the GUI?

Description

Due to a problem in the Questa* FPGA Edition and Starter Edition version 2022.1 and later, you might see the simulator going to “Not responding” and experience a general slowness while executing commands from the terminal through the graphical interface.

 

Resolution

 To work around this problem, close the “Library” tab. Follow the steps below to force it to remain closed:

1. Go to Window > Windows and select “Library.”
2. Click on “Close” and then click on “Done.”

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Questa* FPGA Edition.
