Why does the Quartus II software freeze when I highlight a number in the Text Editor?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 12.0 and later, the Quartus II software may freeze when highlighting a number at the end of a string if you highlight from left to right.

Resolution

To work around this problem, highlight from right to left or use a different text editor.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.1.
