Why does the eye width measurement display zero in the Eye Viewer of the F-Tile FGT Transceiver Toolkit in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.2 when running in internal serial loopback mode?

Description

Due to a problem with the firmware in the Intel Agilex® 7 F-tile devices with the ordering part number (OPN) ending VR0, VR1, or VR2, the results of “eye width time” and “eye width UI” will return a 0 value when trying to run Eye Viewer to measure eye width in internal serial loopback mode.

Resolution

This problem has no workaround for devices with OPN ending VR0, VR1, or VR2.

This problem is fixed in newer Intel Agilex® 7 F-Tile devices with OPN ending VR3 or AA.
