Why does SOPC Builder not pick the right version of custom component that I used to create my design with?

Description

This is a known issue with Quartus® II software versions 10.0 and 10.1 where you have more than one version of your custom component used in the design.

In such cases, SOPC Builder will:

 

- use the newest version if both versions are visible to SOPC Builder.

- use an available version if the preferred version is not visible.

 

This is fixed in version 11.0 of Quartus II software.
