Why does search in the Quartus Help fail?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 15.0 and earlier, Quartus Help will bring you to Quartus Main Page on the Altera website when you try to search using the Quartus Help search engine.

Resolution

To work around this problem, use the search on www.altera.com to search on quartushelp by using the below keywords:

quartushelp: <search_text>

example:
quartushelp: compilation report

To search on the error message/warning message, right-click on the specific message on Quartus Message window and click Help.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
