Why does RSU Notify fail to report software state after watchdog timer expiry in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software versions 20.1 - 20.4 for Intel Agilex® devices?

Description

Due to a problem in the SDM firmware released with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software versions 20.1- 20.4,  the RSU Notify feature may fail to operate correctly on Intel Agilex®.  The user-defined 16-bit HPC software state set prior to watchdog timeout may not be shown after the watchdog expires.

Resolution

This problem is resolved in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.1.
