Why does Qsys Pro hang at Initializing Qsysipc Bridge

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 17.0 and earlier, you may see the Qsys Pro System Integration Tool hangs on opening with the window title "Initializing Qsysipc Bridge"

This problem can occur intermitently depending on machine load.

Resolution

To work around this problem, close the Qsys Pro window and reopen it.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus Prime Pro Edition software.
