Why does Qsys error out when generating the IP Compiler for PCI Express testbench for Cyclone IV GX in Quartus II version 14.0 and up?

Description

Due to a problem in Quartus® II version 14.0 and 14.1, testbench generation fails when selecting the Generate Testbench System tab and will show the below error.

Error: Component pcie_hard_ip_0_pcie_bfm_0 does not support selected device family Cyclone IV GX

Resolution

Please revert back to Quartus II version 13.1 to generate the testbench for Cyclone® IV.

This issue is scheduled be fixed in a future Quartus II release.
