Why does Qsys Component Editor not save parameter changes made to my custom component?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 12.1 and later, the Qsys Component Editor may not save parameter changes made to custom components.

Resolution

To work around this issue open the <component name>_hw.tcl file in a text editor, and change the parameter manually.

 

This problem has been fixed for the Quartus II software version 12.1 SP1 and later.
