Why does my CvP base.periph.* programming file differ from my CvP update.periph.* file?

Description

You may see a small difference in the two programming files when the "Auto usercode" option is enabled in the project.
The differences are the value of the JTAG usercode option register.

Resolution

To prevent any programming file differences disable the "Auto usercode" option under:

Assignments > Device > Device and Pin Options > General > Auto usercode.
