Why does JIC programming over Remote JTAG take a long time when using Intel Agilex® 7 devices?

Description

Due to a known problem in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 20.3, there is high latency when performing JIC programming over Remote JTAG when using Intel Agilex® 7 devices.

Resolution

As a workaround to this problem, use a local JTAG connection.

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 20.4.
