Why do some of the TX statistics of the 40/100G Ethernet MAC always read '0'?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime software, the following TX statistics registers will read back as '0': CNTR_TX_FRAGMENTS_LO, CNTR_TX_JABBER_LO, CNTR_TX_CRCERR_LO, CNTR_TX_FRAGMENTS_HI, CNTR_TX_JABBER_HI, CNTR_TX_CRCERR_HI

Resolution

This problem is not scheduled to be fixed. To work around this issue, the user should create his own counters for these statistics.
