Why do Intel® MAX® 10 compact devices do not support Dual Configuration Intel® FPGA IP?

Description

Dual Configuration Intel® FPGA IP can work correctly only if it is implemented with feature options, Flash or Analog, that are capable to hold two configuration images.

Compact feature devices supports single configuration image only and it is not supported by Dual Configuration Intel® FPGA IP.  

Resolution

You need to use Flash, or Analog feature devices in order to use Dual Configuration Intel® FPGA IP in your design. 

You need to use the device that support the following Feature Options in order to use Dual Configuration Intel® FPGA IP in your design.

- SA: Single supply – analog and flash features with RSU option

- DF: Dual supply – flash features with RSU option

- DA: Dual supply – analog and flash features with RSU option
