Why do I see stale data in the descriptor of the Modular Scatter-Gather DMA Core (mSGDMA) prefetcher module when polling is enabled?

Description

Due to a problem in the mSGDMA prefetcher core, there is race condition in the descriptor updating and prefetching when polling function is enabled. Stale data can exist in the prefetched descriptor.

Resolution

This problem is fixed starting with the the Intel® Quartus® Prime Edition software 20.3.
