Why do I see rx_prbs_err_snapshot[] snapshot register hold time violations in TimeQuest when compiling an Arria 10 device Native PHY IP in Quartus Prime software version 15.1.2 and earlier?

Description

Due to a problem in Quartus® Prime version 15.1.2 and earlier, you may see *rx_prbs_err_snapshot[*] snapshot register hold time violations in TimeQuest® when you turn on the Arria® 10 device Native PHY IP "Enable prbs soft accumulators" option.

The hold time violation can be safely ignored.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in the Quartus Prime software version 16.0.
