Why do I see an IP generation error in the GTS transceiver with Direct PHY General or Reconfigurable PHY mode?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 25.1, you may see an IP generation error in the GTS transceiver with Direct PHY General or Reconfigurable PHY mode when non-zero values are assigned to certain RX Equalization parameters in simulation.
Specifically, the parameters RX EQ VGA Gain, RX EQ High Frequency Boost, and RX EQ DFE Tap 1 are not supported with non-zero values in simulation.
As a result, if these parameters are set to values other than zero, an IP generation error may occur. In Direct PHY General mode generation, QuestaSim* simulation fails with a Consta error. An HSSI compilation error is encountered during the netlist generation phase in Reconfigurable PHY mode generation.

Resolution

To work around this problem, set the RX EQ VGA Gain, RX EQ High Frequency Boost, and RX EQ DFE Tap 1 parameters to zero before generating the IP.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software.
