Why do I see a fatal error in the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 12.0 and later, you may see a fatal error while triggering the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer on a Windows computer.

Resolution

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.1. Download and install this version to avoid this error.
