Why do I receive an unexpected JTAG ID code error?

Description

You may receive an error message such as: Error: Can't configure device. Expected JTAG ID code 0x029030DD for device 1, but found JTAG ID code 0x029FB0DD.

This error can be caused by invalid MSEL pin settings.

Resolution

Refer to the respective device handbook for valid MSEL pin settings.
