Why do I get the message "BFM model not available" when I try to simulate the PCIe example design?

Description

Due to a limitation in the Quartus® II software version 11.0 SP1, the Root Port Bus Functional Model (BFM) is not available for simulation. If you attempt to simulate the design example, the message BFM model not available is displayed.
