Why do I get simulation error with F-Tile Dynamic Reconfiguration Suite FPGA IP Design Example with Ethernet and AN/LT (Auto-Negotiation and Link training) IP when enabled with PTP (Precision Time Protocol)?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.4 and 24.1, some example designs for F-Tile Dynamic Reconfiguration Suite FPGA IP with AN/LT and PTP enabled could fail simulation with accuracy failures. 

 

Resolution

To avoid failures during the simulation, unselect Fast Simulation in the GUI and instead use normal simulation.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2.
