Why do I get an error when I use the EDA Netlist Writer with the PCI Express Compiler Hard IP version 8.1 targeting Stratix IV GX? Error: Can't generate netlist output files because the license for encrypted file

Description

For PCI Express Hard IP no license file should be required to create a Stratix® IV GX, functional post fit simulation netlist.

This affects PCI Express Compiler 8.1 version only.

To fix this problem, download and install patch “Quartus_II-8_1-0_18” for the Quartus II software version 8.1 on PC and Linux.
