Why do F-Tile Serial Lite IV IP and F-Tile Interlaken IP designs fail hardware internal serial loopback testing with Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v22.4 Solution Patch 0.14?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v22.4 Solution Patch 0.14, you might observe that F-Tile Serial Lite IV IP and F-Tile Interlaken IP designs have failures with internal serial loopback testing. This is because Patch 0.14 is not applicable for F-Tile Serial Lite IV IP and F-Tile Interlaken IP designs.

Resolution

To avoid this failure, you must use the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4 without any patch applied.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1.
