Why can't I select the XAUI Hard PHY IP core for Arria V GX devices in Quartus II software version 12.0?

Description

The XAUI Hard PHY IP is not supported for Arria® V GX devices in the Quartus® II software version 12.0.

To work around this problem, use the XAUI PHY Soft IP core.

The XAUI Hard PHY IP is scheduled to be supported in a future version of the Quartus II software.
