Why cant I run the Transceiver Toolkit Auto sweep feature for VOD values of lower than 6 in the Quartus II Software, versions 12.0 and later?

Description

In the Quartus® II software versions 12.0 and later, the Transceiver Toolkit Auto sweep feature restricts the sweeping of transceiver PMA parameters to approved combinations. VOD values of less than 6 may not produce an optimal eye and are restricted.

Resolution

To work around this restriction you can increase the minimum VOD to 6 or higher. Alternatively you can test VOD values lower than 6 using the manual selection mode.
