Why am I not able to connect to the JTAG server via a remote computer using Windows 7?
Description
You may be unable to connect to a JTAG server on a remote machine because the Windows 7 firewall may be blocking access.
Resolution
To allow access through the Windows 7 firewall, follow the steps below:- Open the Windows 7 Control Panel
- Click Windows Firewall
- Click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall on the left-hand navigation pane
- Click Change settings
- Click Allow another program
- In the Add a Program dialog box, browse to <Quartus II installation directory>/bin/jtagserver.exe
- Click Add
