Why a partial reconfiguration operation fails after a successful partial reconfiguration operation on the Intel® Stratix®10 devices?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v18.1 Update 2 and v19.1, when performing partial reconfiguration operations, one after another, you may find occasional failures. The unsuccessful partial reconfiguration operations will assert the PR_ERROR signal.

Resolution

This problem has been fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software v19.2.

To resolve this problem, update the latest device manager firmware for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software  v21.2, 21.3, 21.4, 22.1, 22.2, and 22.3.
