When using the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA IOPLL Intel® FPGA IP, with IOPLL Type: set to Fabric-Feeding, direct and external feedback Compensation modes are not supported.

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Software Edition Software v19.3 targeting the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA IOPLL Intel® FPGA IP.

The IOPLL Intel® FPGA IP will incorrectly allow direct and external feedback Compensation modes selection when the IOPLL Type is set to Fabric-Feeding.

Neither of these two Compensation Modes is supported when the IOPLL Type is set to Fabric-Feeding.

Resolution

Direct and External feedback compensation modes are not supported when the Intel Agilex® 7 FPGA IOPLL Intel® FPGA IP is in Fabric-Feeding mode.

These invalid options have been removed starting from v20.1 of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
