What is a Pattern Capture Format (PCF) file?

Description

A Pattern Capture Format (.pcf) file is used by Hewlett-Packard Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to program Altera devices. The .pcf file contains the raw vectors generated from an Altera Serial Vector Format (.svf) file by the Altera utility svf2pcf. Each PCF bit in the vector file corresponds to one of the JTAG pins.
