Unable to use applications that access the JTAG chain when memory access via the JTAG-to-Avalon master bridge causes a time out in System Console

Description

When System Console times out during a memory access via the JTAG-to-Avalon master bridge, it locks the JTAG chain. As a result, any application that requires access to the JTAG chain, such as the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer, becomes unusable.

Resolution

In System Console, invoke the close_service command to close the master service that has timed out and then start the application that requires access to the JTAG chain.
