The Maud and Mvid Bits of the DisplayPort Vertical Blanking ID Packet Are Non-Zero When There is No Audio or Video Transmission

Description

The DisplayPort TX core does not set the Maud[7:0] and Mvid[7:0] bits of the Vertical Blanking ID (VB-ID) packet to 00h when there is no audio or video stream transmission. This is not compliant to the DisplayPort standard.

Resolution

There is no workaround for this issue.

This issue is fixed in version 16.0 of the DisplayPort IP core.
