Simulation of Arria 10 Designs With Questa Advanced Simulator Version 10.4b May Hang Under Certain Circumstances

Description

If you simulate your Arria 10 design with the Questa Advanced Simulator Version 10.4b, the simulation may hang and fail to complete. This problem is unique to Questa version 10.4b, and is independant of the targeted external memory protocol and the particular IP configuration.

Resolution

The workaround for this problem is to use a different version of the Questa Advanced Simulator. Version 10.3b is known to work successfully.

This problem will be fixed in a future version.
