RapidIO IP Core rx_errdetect Signal Has Wrong Width in 2x Variations

Description

The RapidIO IP core rx_errdetect output signal should be eight bits wide in IP core 2x variations. However, in 2x variations of the IP core rx_errdetect is only four bits wide.

As a result, the rx_errdetect output signal flags errors in the lower four bytes of the 64-bit parallel bus but does not flag errors in the upper four bytes.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround.

This issue is fixed in version 14.0 Arria 10 Edition of the RapidIO IP core.
