Quartus Internal Error: Incorrect Fanout Count

Description

In the Quartus^® Prime Pro Edition software, running SPECTRA-Q PHYSICAL SYNTHESIS on designs containing JTAG IP or certain DSP modes might cause an internal error with the following error message:

Quartus Internal Error: Incorrect Fanout Count

Resolution

Disable SPECTRA-Q PHYSICAL SYNTHESIS by setting the following Quartus Prime Settings File (QSF) assignment:

set_global_assignment -name SPECTRAQ_PHYSICAL_SYNTHESIS OFF
