Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer exits with an error when About Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer is opened from the Help menu

Description

If you run the stand-alone Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer, and then click About Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer on the Help menu, the Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer exits with an error similar to the following:

Internal Error: Sub-system: QUI, File: /quartus/sys/qui/qui_help_menu.cpp, Line: 256 Cannot load library sys_mdb.dll: The specified module could not be found.

Resolution

Do not click the About Quartus II SignalTap II Logic Analyzer command.
