Qsys Pro Systems with Certain IP Cores Encounter Errors During System Generation After Relocation to Different Installations
Description
When you instantiate any of the following IP cores in your Qsys Pro system and then relocate the saved system to a different computer or change the location of your Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software installation directory, errors will occur when you generate the system:
- Altera® Trace Printf Monitor Core
- System ID Peripheral Core
- Parallel I/O (PIO) Core
- Interval Timer Core
- JTAG UART Core
You might enounter an error message that resembles the following:
Error: File error when creating periphs file: <.svd> (No such file or directory)
Error: qsys-generate failed with exit code 1: 1 Error, 1 WarningResolution
Open the affected Qsys Pro system and then toggle any parameter of the affected IP core. Toggling the parameter of the IP core from within the Qsys Pro system updates the path to the .svd file to the new installation directory.
