PowerPlay Power Analyzer reports for non-SoC Arria V and Cyclone V devices contain HPS power rails

Description

In the Quartus II software version 12.1, the PowerPlay Power Analyzer reports erroneously display hard processor system (HPS) power rails for non-SoC Arria V and Cyclone V devices even though these devices contain no HPS power rails.

Resolution

You may disregard the HPS power rails because they have zero power assigned to them and they should not affect your design.
