Possible to Select Unsupported Device Family for LPDDR2 Interface

Description

This problem affects LPDDR2 memory interfaces.

Altera LPDDR2 memory interfaces support only Arria V and Cyclone V device families; however, it is possible in Qsys to select other, unsupported, device families. If you select a device family other than Arria V or Cyclone V, generation fails and no error message occurs.

Resolution

The workaround for this issue is to choose only Arria V or Cyclone V device families for use with LPDDR2 external memory interfaces.

This issue will be fixed in a future version.
