The PowerPlay Power Analyzer in the Quartus® II software version 11.1sp2 and earlier versions may overpredict transceiver power in Arria® V devices.

Resolution

Use the Early Power Estimator (EPE) version 11.1sp2 to estimate the transceiver power in Arria V devices.

A future version of the PowerPlay Power Analyzer in the Quartus II software will have more accurate transceiver power estimation.
