Is there a known issue with the pre-emphasis settings in Cyclone V LVDS IBIS models generated by the Quartus Prime software?

Description

Yes, due to an issue with generation of Cyclone® V IBIS models in the Quartus® Prime software versions 16.0 and earlier, you will see swapped model behavior for the LVDS pre-emphasis setting.

For pre-emphasis ENABLED - _p1:  simulation result shows pre-emphasis disabled.

For pre-emphasis DISABLED- _p0:  simulation result shows pre-emphasis enabled.

Resolution

To work around this issue, manually change the pre-emphasis setting when generating the IBIS model in the affected versions of the Quartus Prime software.

This issue is fixed in Quartus Prime software versions 16.1 and later.
