Is the PL-USB-Blaster-RCN a "drop-in" replacement for the PL-USB-Blaster-RB?

Yes, the PL-USB-Blaster-RCN is a "drop-in" replacement for the PL-USB-Blaster-RB. The difference in the cables will be the PL-USB-Blaster-RCN will be our latest Rev C cable and it is also RoHS compliant where the PL-USB-Blaster will be the older Rev B cable. Functionally will be the same between both programming cables.

USB-Blaster™ programming cables regardless of revision are designed to work with any Altera® device with JTAG access.
