IP Compiler for PCI Express User Guide Does Not Accurately Describe Non-Posted tx_cred Offset

Description

The description of the non-posted tx_cred signal that appears in the IP Compiler for PCI Express v11.0 User Guide, in the Application Interfaces, Tx Datapath section on page 72 does not describe the signal value correctly. In addition to the delay in the accuracy of the signal value, the value of tx_cred is typically one less than the number of non-posted credits actually available to the IP Compiler for PCI Express. The actual difference can vary depending on current traffic conditions.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround. You should be aware of the typical offset between the non-posted tx_cred signal and the actual number of non-posted credits.

This issue will be fixed in a future version of the IP Compiler for PCI Express User Guide.
