Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime software version 16.1 and later, you may see this internal error when compiling for an unsupported Arria® 10 speed grade.

Resolution

To work around this problem, select a valid speed grade.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus Prime software.
