Internal Error: Sub-system: SDR, File: /quartus/sld/sdr/sdr_tx_signal_nodes_gen2.cpp, Line: 781 alias != NULL && *alias != '\0'

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.0 SP1 and earlier, you may see this internal error in the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer when deleting an alias for a node.

Resolution

To work around this problem, perform the following steps:

1. Close the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer
2. Open the SignalTap II file (.stp) in a text editor and delete all the lines matching .alias= “<name>”
3. Reopen the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer
