In the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.1 and later, this error message may be seen in designs that target an Intel® Arria® 10 device and include one or more instances of the GPIO Intel® FPGA IP.

Resolution

Usage of an Intel® Quartus® Prime Software release not affected by the problem is advised. This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 19.2.
