Description

Due to a problem in Quartus® II software version 12.0 SP2 or earlier, you may see this error during the Fitter if your design has physical synthesis enabled for compilation.

Resolution

To work around this problem, turn off the Perform physical synthesis for combinational logic or Perform register retiming options.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.1.
