Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Standard Edition version 15.1, you might see this internal error when you compile an Intel® Arria® 10 FPGA design that contains transceivers and has Spectra-Q Physical Synthesis enabled.

Resolution

To work around this problem, either disable the Spectra-Q Physical Synthesis or install the Intel Quartus Prime Software version 15.1 Update 1.

This problem has been fixed in the Intel Quartus Prime Software 17.0.
