How to reopen the Quartus II Compilation Report Table of Contents after closing it?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 11.1 and earlier, there is no option in the GUI to reopen the Compilation Report Table of Contents after closing it.

Resolution

To work around this problem, delete the file quartus2.qreg which is located in the following directory:

• For Windows, C:\Documents and Settings\<user name> or C:\Users\<user name>
• For Linux, ~/.altera.quartus

 This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 12.0.
