How do I install 10.1_devices_windows.exe or 10.1_devices_linux.sh from the command-line?

Description

Due to a problem with the Altera Complete Design Suite version 10.1, command-line installation of 10.1_devices_windows.exe or 10.1_devices_linux.sh may fail.

To work around this problem, use the GUI installation method for 10.1_devices_windows.exe or 10.1_device_linux.sh.

This problem is fixed beginning with the ACDS 10.1 SP1 release.
