How do I generate a Programmer Object File (.pof) for the EPC16 configuration device when using an Excalibur™ device?

Description

The Software Builder in the Quartus^® II software version 2.1 currently generates six .pof files, each targeting an EPC2 device, if you create a programming file when compiling your software project, even if you specifiy an EPC16 configuration device.

You can generate a .pof file for the EPC16 configuration device by converting the SRAM Object File (.sof) file generated by the Software Builder into a .pof file using the Convert Programming Files utility in the Quartus II software.
